Food Drive

 Food Bank Hours of Operation:

We distribute food the 2nd & 4th Fridays of the month from 10a-1p.

Orchard Mesa Baptist Church sponsors a very active food pantry in which we serve over 5,000 people per year. This is a costly ministry, but has a huge payback!

We hold up Matthew 25: 35-40, as our church calling to this ministry:

35 For I was an hungered, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in: 36  Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me. 37  Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungered, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink? 38  When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee? 39  Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee? 40  And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.

Since the economic outlook has not changed, we have an ongoing need for food.  While Mesa county still has a 10% unemployment rate, we are currently helping 400+ people a month with needed food. With so many out of work, the need is even greater than in years past. Thank you.

This is a huge undertaking and requires a lot of support. I pray you can be part of giving to those who are less fortunate.

We accept non-perishable canned or packaged food items.  Hunters, we can accept wild game donations as long as they are professionally packaged and labeled.  Financial donations are always needed to purchase perishable and non-perishable foods.

In addition to food, we also accept gently used clothes for our clothing closet.

Those in need may ask for assistance from the Trinity Baptist Food Pantry.  A valid Colorado driver’s license or Colorado ID card with correct address is required.  Birth certificates of all children in the family is required at registration time.  Children will only be registered with their parents.  Persons needing assistance may get help from the Trinity Baptist Food Pantry up to three times per year per family.  Additional assistance can be granted on a case by case basis by the Food Pantry Director.

In case of emergencies food may be obtained by contacting the Food Pantry Director, Debra Huddleston at 242-2355 or by e-mail at

trinitybapfoodpantry@live.com

Additional assistance may be obtained by contacting Mesa county 211 system. We are unable to deliver food under any circumstances!

In 2011 the Trinity Baptist Food Pantry assisted almost 3,000 people.  And in 2012 we assisted almost 4,000 people in 2013 over 5,000 and last year 2014 just shy of 6,000. We praise God for pouring out his blessing on this valuable ministry.
