Thank You For Visiting Orchard Mesa Baptist Church!

If you haven't joined us for service yet we encourage you to come visit! We are proudly affiliated with the Southern Baptist Church as well as the Colorado Baptist General Convention and Uncompahgre Baptist Association.

We are a medium sized Sothern Baptist Church located on Orchard Mesa in Grand Junction, Colorado. You can find us at the corner of B 1/2 and 27 1/2 roads, near City Market.

Our Style:

At OMBC we believe that worship is an important time of spiritual renewal. Our style of music and practice is traditional, with a mix of contemporary. We offer open communion to ALL believers the First Sunday of every month.

Who is OMBC:

Founded in 1955 as Trinity Baptist Church at this same location on Orchard Mesa, we are an antonymous church which chooses to affiliate with the Southern Baptist Convention (SBC). Our purpose is fellowship, mission work, and of course preaching and teaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Our goal is to fulfill the commandment of the Great Commission of Jesus in a loving way. We believe the Bible is the inerrant word of God and is the basis on which to build doctrine and beliefs. It is our desire to minister to those around us through an active food pantry, clothing closet, youth ministry, couples group, men’s group, women’s group, prayer and spiritual healing.

We find power in the redemptive sprit of the Lord and focus on the "DO's" in the word of God verses the Don'ts. We feel if your busy doing the do's, then you don't have time to do the don'ts!

What we Believe:

Salvation

- Is obtained by grace of God through faith in His son Jesus Christ.

Jesus Christ

- Is the son of God, made flesh, who died on the cross for our sins and was resurrected on the third day.

The Bible

- God’s word and the authority for faith and practice.

The Church

- The Body of Christ

Baptism

- An outward expression of inward faith on the part of the believer, following Christ’s example.

The Ordinances

- Symbolic in meaning, relating to Christ’s redemptive work and commandments.
A note from the Pastor:

Dear Friend,

We would be truly delighted and honored if you chose to visit our Church!

Our hope is that you already have a church home and enjoy the fellowship and encouragement of a loving church. However, if you are seeking a place to worship and serve, then our desire is that you prayerfully seek God’s guidance. We are here to promote spiritual uplifting and growth in your walk with our Lord, Jesus Christ.

Opportunities to serve and seek His will are abundant and we trust that your visit with us today will be a blessing.
As Pastor, I am available for prayer, as well as counseling and to assist you in your walk with our Lord.

If this is your first contact with us online, we would be pleased to hear from you. Please let us know what your needs are. We are always more than happy to help in any way we are able.

Sincerely,

Rev. Robert Babcox
