Welcome to Orchard Mesa Baptist Church in Grand Junction Colorado,located at the corner of B 1/2 and 27 1/2 roads. Grand Junction is a small city West of the Continental Divide, 250 miles Southwest of Denver, Colorado and 250 miles Southeast of Salt Lake City, Utah. Grand Junction is at an elevation of 4,700 feet and has a moderate climate.
OMBC is a Southern Baptist Church; an active member of the Colorado Baptist General Convention and Grand Valley Baptist Association. However, this is not your Grandma's Southern Baptist Church. We encourage everyone to bring his or her own personal Bible. Regardless of translation, we believe that God is able to use Godly men to translate a Bible that men and women of today can read and relate to. We sing both traditional and contemporary hymns and songs. We believe God is able to use His church to reach the lost through whatever means.
We believe God is, a God of grace and has a true desire to see all His children in heaven. With that being said, there is only one way to get to heaven and that is through His son Jesus Christ. (John 3:16-17) 16 For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 17 For God sent not His Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through Him might be saved).
